President-Executive Director
The Academy is under the direction of Miriam Jato. She began her career in the Early Childhood field after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies/Early Childhood Education from Saint Xavier University in Chicago. She then ventured off working with Adults and Children with an agency that worked with mentally and physically disabled adults and children. She then decided to embark on owning her own preschool with the assistance of her husband. She opened and operated “Le Bunnies” Child Care Center in Lansing, Illinois for eighteen years. Miriam continued her education in the field and obtained her Master of Arts in Education from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL. Mr. and Mrs. Jato sold the center in Illinois and took a bold leap towards transforming their lifestyle, relocating from Illinois to Southwest Florida. Soon after, their daughter Dana achieved her nursing degree and followed in their footsteps, also making the move to Florida.
Dana went on to earn her master’s degree as a nurse practitioner and is now pursuing her doctorate, truly embodying her family’s spirit of growth and adventure. She is married and has adopted three dogs from a rescue. Mr. and Mrs. Jato adopted a Jack Russell from Rescue Garage in North Port. Jasmine (Jazzy) Jazzy delights in visiting the center with Miriam and engaging with the children. She is lovable and tenderly kisses boo boos on the children, making them feel comforted. She also skillfully supports children in managing their emotions, empowering them to feel joyful.
